In STEINS;GATE, a group of young tech-savvy students find out how to change the past through the mail by hacking a microwave. They lose control of their experiments to see how far they can take their finding as they get involved in a plot involving John Titor, who says he is from a bad future, and SERN, the group that built the Large Hadron Collider.
The player can interact with the game through a “phone trigger” system that lets them receive calls and text messages and choose whether to answer them or not, which can change how the story goes.
