Welcome back to Neverwinter: Bards sing about heroes from bygone eras, but they seldom ever speak of heroes to come. A farmer in the little community of West Harbor is one such hero. Our hero, who was raised as his own kid by the elf ranger Daeghun, is going to take on a big mission against the King of Shadows. The story of his deeds is told in Neverwinter Nights 2. In Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer, his adventures continue. The protagonist finds himself under a foreboding spell. a curse of insatiable desire that can only be lifted by eating spirits’ souls. He must go to the Shadow Realm, which is home to troubled people and sinister secrets, in order to lift the curse.
