Photographer Frank West is looking for the story of a lifetime. He follows a tasty lead to a small suburban town, but when he gets there, he finds that it is full of zombies! He sneaks off to the nearby mall, thinking it will be a safe place to be, but it’s not at all safe. It’s really hard to stay alive because there are so many enemies, but Frank has full control over an entire shopping centre and can use anything to fight off the flesh-hungry crowd and find out what’s causing the terrible disease.
When you play this action-horror game, you’ll understand what it means to “retail hell.” Dead Rising uses a dynamic real-time system, which means that time keeps moving even when Frank isn’t doing anything. Like, zombies move slowly during the day, but when the sun goes down, they get stronger and move faster, making it even harder to stay alive. The unheard-of groups come in waves that never end and are made up of a wide range of species. These ex-humans remember some things about their past lives, and it shows in how they act and look. There are a lot of shops in the mall, so you can find anything you need, from vehicles to makeshift weapons and more. Along the way, you’ll meet other survivors, and helping them can give you important hints about what happened.
